How to rent a condo that allows us to have a dog in Manila?

We are thinking of moving to the BGC area but wonder if it is easy to rent a condo that allows us to have a dog (an adult golden retriever). What is the pet policy in those condos in the BGC area? Thank you.

Shane Baetz: I know South of Market allows but many don’t

Nacisvalencia Joanna: Hi, I have unit in Avida 34th for rent, located at the back of Uptown Mall

Jana Czarnobaj: Hi Max! Hope this one helps 😄 Traffic in the whole of Metro Manila gets really bad to unfortunately worse. If you’re moving here for either leisure and/or work, BGC and Makati are the most convenient areas if it’s the same district where you’ll be working. Living in The Philippines isn’t so bad especially if you ought to travel around. The Philippines has a lot to offer when it comes to Landscapes, water, festivals, outdoor activities etc. There are a lot of international communities who’s keen on sharing their own recommendations 😁 Of course, as any traveler would say – keep an open mind and be ready to explore and discover 👍🏼 As for your furr babe, if he/she’s been living in a house with an open, might as well find accommodations that would offer that. There are private villages in Makati that has that (gardens, pools for some) if budget is not so much limited of course. Some condos do allow pets in the BGC area as well 😁 I think I’ve said enough. I hope i was able to share something helpful.

Max Rios: Thank you for your advice. We are retired and don’t plan to work in Manila. Therefore, we just want to find the modern area in the metro Manila. What do you think about Ortigas, Eastwood, etc. Instead of BGC?

Jana Czarnobaj: Max Rios, from how I see Ortigas – it’s an older business district compared to Eastwood. Eastwood is fairly new although there’s not much within the compounds of Eastwood itself apart from malls/shopping area. Best bet is BGC. The district is well-thought off in aspects of city planning – merged business, residential and commercial areas, considerations for area/lot spacing, security and traffic regulations within the BGC is strictly implemented. I’ve used to live in the Makati area for a while, but I’ve moved to BGC last 2013. Makati has a good sense of familiarity for me since I lived there for some time and I do go there if I need something from the area. But BGC, has a modern vibe to it and its well-thought growth makes the area more captivating and exciting. 😊

Max Rios: Thanks. Our first choice still remains BGC. BGC seems to be very modern. But there are a few factors we need to consider such as our budget (up to 40k mo), our dog, etc.

Marwena Anewor: Acacia estates allows retriever because they are considered as medium dog… We tried in Tuscany residences before but they measured the height of our dog so she was not accepted
